About Sand in the City KC
Once a year, more than 350 tons of sand transform the parking lot of Wonderscope Children's Museum of Kansas City into a sandy beach!
Sand in the City® is a premier sand-building and sculpture contest event, where sculpting teams have six hours to build the most impressive 15-ton sand sculpture they can and compete for awards.
The highly coveted "People's Choice Award" is based upon online and visitor voting.
The event continues for three days with many fun, family - inspired, interactive events! .
Park University Alumni and students had great time earning the silly award of “Messiest , Wettest, Sandiest, Most Fun Team.”.
