Sand in the City KC and Family Fun Days are family friendly and a fantastic way to benefit the children of the metro Kansas City area, through Wonderscope Children’s Museum of Kansas City.
Once a year, more than 350 tons of sand transform the parking lot of Wonderscope Children's Museum of Kansas City into a sandy beach!
Sand in the City® is a premier sand-building and sculpture contest event, where sculpting teams have six hours to build the most impressive 15-ton sand sculpture they can and compete for awards.
The highly coveted "People's Choice Award" is based upon online and visitor voting.
The event continues for three days with many fun, family - inspired, interactive events!
